Ronald G. Bruno, Chairman
Mr. Bruno graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He was involved in various management positions at Bruno’s Supermarkets, Inc., from 1974 through 1995, including Chairman and CEO from 1991 until the company was sold in 1995. At the time the company was sold, it operated 250 stores in 6 southeastern states with a sales volume of nearly $3 billion. In 1995, he founded Bruno Event Team with partner Gene Hallman. Mr. Bruno has been a member of the following boards over the last decade: United Way, St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation, Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, Metropolitan Development Board, University of Alabama College of Commerce Board of Visitors and University of Alabama President’s Cabinet. He also served on the following corporate boards: Bruno’s, Inc., Southtrust Bank, N.A., Russell Corporation and is currently a board member of Books-A-Million.

Gene Hallman, President and CEO

Mr. Hallman received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the College of Charleston (SC) and his MBA from the University of South Carolina. He serves as President and CEO of Bruno Event Team. He also holds the title of Executive Director of the Alabama Sports Foundation, the sports lobby for the city of Birmingham and the state of Alabama. He is President of Zoom Motorsports, LLC, the exclusive event promoter for the Barber Motorsports Park. He is also the co-owner of Five Star Event Catering and a board member of March of Dimes and Magic Moments at Children's Hospital.

Sean Sovacool, Senior Vice President, Golf

Mr. Sovacool holds a Masters in Kinesiology from Georgia State and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management/Engineering from Georgia Tech. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Golf for Bruno Event Team, overseeing all aspects of professional golf events for both PGA Tour and USGA events managed by Bruno Event Team. Prior to joining the company he spent ten years working on professional golf events as Tournament Director and Director of Sales for Executive Sports, Inc.

John W. Bochnak, Vice President, Finance

Mr. Bochnak received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, as well as a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Alabama. He currently serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration for Bruno Event Team, overseeing all financial, administrative and human resource functions for the company and all of its divisions.  He also manages the Gameday Operations projects for Bruno Event Team, which entails handling all aspects of parking, traffic and tailgating for the University of Alabama home football, basketball and gymnastics events.

Brett Collins, Vice President, Motorsports

Mr. Collins holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware. He currently serves as Vice President of ZOOM Motorsports, the motorsports division of Bruno Event Team.  Brett and his team are responsible for the day-to-day management and scheduling of events that take place at the world-renowned Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL.  In addition, ZOOM Motorsports handles the event operations, marketing, media relations, and ticket and hospitality sales for the Honda Superbike Classic, part of the AMA Superbike Championship Series and the PORSCHE 250, part of the Grand American ROLEX Sports Car Series.

Mark Jamroz, Vice President, Creative Director

Mr. Jamroz was the first student in the English department at Wayne State University to receive a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Film Studies. He currently serves as Vice President and Creative Director of Think Positive, the creative services division of the Bruno Event Team. His background includes eight years of experience at the multi-national agency DDB, working on Volkswagen, Audi, American Airlines, Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut. Prior to Think Positive he was Vice President/Senior Producer at O2 Ideas in Birmingham, working on Verizon Wireless, The Home Depot Employment Group and others. In his current position he is responsible for concepting, creating and executing all aspects of creative production of the advertising campaigns for Bruno Event Team events.

John Marovich, Vice President, Golf

Mr. Marovich holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Sociology from the University of Illinois.  In his current position as Vice President of Golf, he oversees the day-to-day management of the Golf Division along with Sean Sovacool.  His duties include overall event and staff management of several Champions Tour, LPGA, PGA TOUR and Nationwide TOUR Events.  He has been involved in golf tournament management for 10 years and joined the Bruno Event Team in 2002.  Prior to that he was the tournament director of the Royal Caribbean Classic since 1998.   He is a member of the Champions Tour Tournament Association Board of Directors. Before entering the golf industry, he was the manager of sports marketing for Gatorade where he was responsible for the company’s sports marketing activities west of the Mississippi River for six years.

Scott Berg, Corporate Chef

Prior to founding Five Star Event Catering, Corporate Chef Berg was with Amalgamated Concepts where he helped found the Copper Grill Lobster & Steakhouse and Crepes Egg-Setera Bakery. Currently, he is the director for all food and catering and concessions during events at the Barber Motorsports Park. He also plans and executes luncheons and dinners at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and other high-profile locations in the Birmingham area.
