Angelo Bruno and his son, Ronald, combined their business skills and connections with their love for golf in 1991 to bring a Champions Tour event to the Birmingham area. This event was to provide first-class golf entertainment while raising substantial monies for Alabama charities. The Bruno’s Memorial Classic, which later became the Regions Charity Classic, was the first Champions Tour event for the Birmingham-Hoover metropolitan area, and donated over $11 million for charity through 2010. On August 23, 2010 the Regions Charity Classic became a major championship on the PGA TOUR Champions and is now called the Regions Tradition. The tournament is played annually at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. To date, the tournament has raised more than $17 million for charity.
BUTTERFIELD BERMUDA CHAMPIONSHIP

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is the first official PGA TOUR event to be hosted in Bermuda. Set amongst a backdrop of clear, blue waters and stunning greens, the annual event debuted at picturesque Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, October 25th – 31st, 2021. Part of the fall portion of the schedule and an official FedExCup event, the field consists of 132 PGA TOUR professionals competing for US $6.5 million in a four-round, 72-hole stroke-play tournament. The winner also receives 500 FedExCup points. Bruno Event Team is responsible for all facets, including sales and sponsorship, marketing, PR and communications, operations, and volunteer management.
PRINCIPAL CHARITY CLASSIC
DES MOINES, IOWA
The Principal Charity Classic, a mainstay on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule, takes place in the heart of the Midwest in Des Moines, Iowa. All tournament proceeds benefit Iowa children’s charities. In 2019 alone the event raised a total of $5.7 million making the overall total of more than $23 million to charity since 2007. The local Bruno Event Team staff manages all of day-to-day selling, planning and execution of the event that traditionally takes place at the end of May.
RAPISCAN SYSTEMS CLASSIC
The Rapiscan Systems Classic, presented by Coastal Mississippi, is the only PGA TOUR Champions golf tournament on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It debuted back in 2010 and is played at the beautiful Tom Fazio-designed Fallen Oak (#1 course in MS – GolfDigest). Each year, the tournament draws large crowds and puts Coastal Mississippi in the national spotlight, thanks to live coverage from the Golf Channel. The purse for the three-day competition is $1.6 million and 78 PGA TOUR Champions players will participate. The tournament estimates a $16 million annual economic impact and has raised over $2.7 million for Coast charities since 2010.

The BMW Championship features the top 70 PGA TOUR players vying to earn one of 30 spots in the season-ending TOUR Championship and the chance to be crowned FedEx Cup champion. Past BMW Championship winners include defending champion Justin Thomas, Keegan Bradley, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Zach Johnson, Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.

The 41st U.S. Senior Open Championship will return to Omaha Country Club July 5 – 11, 2021.
Omaha Country Club last hosted in 2013 and it was one of the most successful U.S. Senior Opens in history.
A variety of ticket packages will be available and corporate hospitality opportunities are now available to see all of the action. For an inside the ropes experience, over 2,100 volunteers are needed on 18 different committees for the championship.
KORN FERRY TOUR
The Path to the PGA Tour will run through Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2021. Join the action at the Inaugural Lake Charles Championship and witness the next generation of PGA TOUR stars. The Lake Charles Championship is one of four brand new events on the Korn Ferry TOUR schedule and this year’s field of players is going to be more competitive than ever. Hosted by the Golden Nugget Lake Charles, this Korn Ferry Tour stop promises to be one of the Tour’s unique stops on the schedule.
The AdventHealth Championship, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, is conducted annually at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri. This four-day, 72-hole competition features 156 players from around the world vying for a total purse of $675,000. As the path to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour features some of the most talented professional golfers who are ready to compete and win on golf’s biggest stage. This is the tournament’s commitment to deliver an experience to fans, partners, volunteers and Tour players and an impact to the Kansas City community beyond just golf.

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS is a regularly scheduled, full-field, 72-hole event held at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois. Bruno Event Team has partnered with the PGA TOUR on this event since it’s inaugural year in 2016. As host organization, BET is responsible for all facets of event management for the Lincoln Land Championship including the management of all operational vendors, including the coordination of permitting and placement process for all temporary tents, bleachers, electrical, and signage. We also develop and oversee the execution of social media and marketing strategies for the event and develop and execute all special events surrounding the annual event including Pro-Ams, receptions, committee meetings and other ancillary events.
